xt2005bonbon
do the usual suspects: swap coils. see if misfires follow. if not. swap injectors. see if misfires follow. if not, assess spark plug condition. if coil, injector, plug are OK, then time for a compression/leakdown test. May be in need of valve adjustment or bad ringland..
drunkinmonk
I got a p0301 after a few mile of my downpipe install and cobb ap stage 2 tune. would this have happened if I just left my car at stage one cobb tune?

drunkinmonk
Stage 2 probably just accelerated the problem to show earlier. Well it's at the mechanic we'll have to hear back from him.
drunkinmonk
It was a bad coil pack. Back up and ruining!
xt2005bonbon
Do you know if the back of the coil pack looked bulged? Or did its outside appearance looked normal?

1-3-2-4
I replaced both OCV and my misfires went away. used tatrix cable and watched the 2 vales related to OCV metric on each bank. Noticed 1 bank was not keeping up or getting stuck, compare to the other. I just replace both at same time. I'm new to the tactrix cable but how can I view these values? 1-3-2-4
^Simple fix on the wiring harness...... Pull the yellow tab on the connector plastic. Pop the pins out and insert them in the new plastic and then reinsert yellow tab http://www.ebay.com/itm/Subaru-Ignition-Coil-Wire-Harness-Terminal-Plug-Set-Impreza-WRX-STi-Connector-/300843950050?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Make%3ASubaru&hash=item460bb25fe2&vxp=mtr Nice I just broke my tab today as well! 1-3-2-4
OK I pulled the cable to the injector for #2 and the injector must of been working because it made the car stumble.. nevertheless I finally got Romraider to work so I did a little logging. Maybe I'm missing something else to log?romraiderlog_20141108_072847.csv
compsurge
Try cleaning the injectors by removing the screens on them. I had some particulate in mine at 100k miles. Also run some Techron through a few tanks to see if that helps.

1-3-2-4
I just took the plug out for #2 and this is what it looks like vs new.. stupid me forgot my gap tool before I left this morninghttp://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/11/08/5c79328d0fba939be87e49c76c342616.jpg
1-3-2-4
Well plugs did not help so it's compression test time
compsurge
I did not know you could remove the screens on them. Mine popped off when playing with them. I guess that makes them removable  They did pop back on too. I want to build a cleaning rig like the kind I see on YouTube where the injectors are put on a bench and run forward and reverse flow with injector cleaner. Pulling the injector is a classic trick to see if the cylinder is working, but after finding that its not, you still need to figure out spark, or fuel

Pulling the injector is a classic trick to see if the cylinder is working, but after finding that its not, you still need to figure out spark, or fuel When I get home I can put the new coil on the right side of the car.. but unless the car still fires the plug with no fuel or disables the injector I'm still ruling out as a bad injector.. I did not show all the plugs but 2 was more wet then all the others. I won't really get home till like 4pm so it's going to be awhile... it's killing my gas milage.. down to 14.2 mpg and only getting 160 miles from the tank
compsurge
Are you running rich or having rough starts? It could be an injector is stuck fully open or leaking.
1-3-2-4
Had nether it just happened while passing.. I won't say much more till I get home.. I mean they have almost 194k on them
Brian3676
Yes the car will still fire that plug. If your dumping gas in (aka stuck open injector) your oil will smell like gas usually. If this is the case, careful you dont wash the cylinder walls or your gonna be replacing the engine. You can also try swapping injectors while your in there looking at the coil. There not too hard to swap.
1-3-2-4
The car does smell very rich at idle I have a strong fuel smell I don't mind having to change the oil early again only 1000 miles on it
