GTTuner
It allows you to turn change the gauge sweep and turn the gauge surround lights on or off. The manual does not say what the "I" is for. I never got a straight answer for that either.

idontknow
i found it today. s is for guage sweep and i is for illumination of the guages as they sweep. who on earth would want to turn those off. i get more compliments on that than anything else I give people the key and tell them to turn the key to on just so I can share this 8th wonder of the world with the general public. I always have my eye on the gauges when I start it. I have even turned it off and re-started it when I missed the show the 1st time.
Montana
I kept the illumination but turned off the sweep on the sedan, which means my speedo is no longer recalibrated every time I start the engine right? As a result, my trip computer tells me I'm getting 42 mpg. Either that, or someone is using the car and slipping in a little fuel so I won't notice. dr. pepper
Do you turn the engine off and turn the key around when you realize that the shing Subaru logo is facing down? Sadly, yes I do. I've even pulled over once, turned it off, and flipped it around before I got to my friends house
