'08 STi or '08 SpecB?

You don't think the new Harmon Kardon sound system is very good?

 

I had the same dilemma. I wanted the performance of the STi with its awesome suspension, trans, and brakes, not to mention the power. But... I wanted something alittle under the radar. Being older I wanted something that had more class. The deciding factor was the STi was at my redline for my budget and when you look at the insurance it was over twice I am paying now. I'm 33 no accidents and suprisingly the Spec B would be cheaper to insure than my '00 2.5 rs!! That's what did it for me. THe spec B has power, the 6speed STi trans and a nice suspension setup. So it doesn't feel you are loosing to much to the STi. That's what I keep telling myself

 

For anyone looking to decide between the two if money isn't big factor get the STi hands down. As for the sound system, i'm spoiled for having over 900watts of pure custom joy in my previous car. The Harman/Kardon system is OK but the stock STi setup is pathetic. People don't get that car to listen to the radio

Thanks, MW. I did get the SpecB. Money for SpecB or STi was about the same.

 

So far, I like how my 04 WRX drove much better. Hoping the Legacy grows on me.

 

I heard rumor that the 2010 Legacy 2.5 turbo model will have approx 300 hp.

Lets hope so, as for now you can get yours to over 300hp with about 200bucks in mods.
