sostafari
I'm highly un-technical but was looking to get a little more juice out of my gt wagon. I've been reading the easiest and cheapest way is a new intake (like the k&n typhoon) which seems pretty easy to install (even for someone like me). Does installing this compromise any warranty issues? Thanks in advance.

SO it wold be cheaper to just get an AP Or the SUBARU powerpack : Spt intake (cat scarer) and 1100 catback. They claim you get an added 45hp:lol:. I've had them both kept the catback, dumped the intake. If you can afford College, you probably don't need to go.

Infamous1
If it comes down to it, yes it can void part of the warranty. Really depends on the dealer.
JonLGT
If the intake causes an issue then yes.
Infamous1
^^^ Even if not, they will try to say it was the cause if engine related...
mmarton
Infamous1 is right. Ask your dealer. Subaru of Gwinnett (Atlanta) is fine with just about anything except tuning the ECU.

awdG35killer
^^^ Even if not, they will try to say it was the cause if engine related... its up to the dealership to decide. so in general, YES it can compromise warranty issues
sostafari
for the answers and suggestions. Does a Cobb AP come with warranty issues? Can a dealer actually tell if you used one even if you return it to factory settings? Again, thanks in advance.
ddavis
If you switch it back to your stock settings before you go to the dealer they will have no clue.
