whobaru
How can they advertise that dyno legally?
mwiener2
^^ because that dyno would probably look the excat same way if you did 2 runs back to back. It's not a scam.. it is technically a supercharger that will fit most cars.... but it won't give you any power. urfsin
For what it's worth, we put a Toro brand leaf blower into a 2.5 N/A subaru motor when it was on a dyno and it did produce about 10 more WHP than the run before it w/o the leaf blower. The car was running ruch, so we though, what the hell, lets add some air (via the leaf blower) and see what happens. Slide It Sideways

That's enough juice to actually move some significant air. 12v and 20amps (not likely this unit even pulls that much) not enough juice to do ANYTHING My Mods List (Updated 8/22/17) 2005 Outback FMT Running on Electrons

They don't hide the fact that you WILL need an extra battery or two to run their system and each run you make will almost kill the battery. Their supercharger uses over 100 amps. NSFW
Yup. That one is electrically powered and they can also be driven by the crankshaft. Here's some pics of an old-school one (is there another kind? I dunno), I think it was on a Thunderbird but don't remember exactly.
