Supercharger?

For what it's worth, we put a Toro brand leaf blower into a 2.5 N/A subaru motor when it was on a dyno and it did produce about 10 more WHP than the run before it w/o the leaf blower.

 

The car was running ruch, so we though, what the hell, lets add some air (via the leaf blower) and see what happens.

120v and about 12amps. That's enough juice to actually move some significant air.

 

12v and 20amps (not likely this unit even pulls that much) not enough juice to do ANYTHING

Another site said you needed like 7-8 car batteries to get it "functional" but you then added the weight of all those batteries canceling out the "Gains"

there is one company...i forgot the name... that sells functional electric superchargers. They don't hide the fact that you WILL need an extra battery or two to run their system and each run you make will almost kill the battery. Their supercharger uses over 100 amps.
