PaulFWMotorsports
Didn't think Irrational X needed this...but what do I know? http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f334/dbtuned/Subaru/100_5339.jpg Apperently, he thought otherwise. http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f334/dbtuned/Subaru/100_5368.jpg http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f334/dbtuned/Subaru/100_5369.jpg http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f334/dbtuned/Subaru/100_5371.jpg http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f334/dbtuned/Subaru/100_5367.jpg http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f334/dbtuned/Subaru/100_5370.jpg
sactojesse
Sweet! What's the point of all this Subaru rally heritage if you're afraid of dirt and mud? BTW, I have the Rallitek aluminum skidplate too. My stock plastic one cracked, so I had to make sure that never happened again.

johnAWD
Man - I would never do that to my car unless it was my 'beater'.
PhilT
Sweet! What's the point of all this Subaru rally heritage if you're afraid of dirt and mud? Because the only similarity between our cars and the Subaru WRC car is the 4 cyl boxer engine. Just about everything lese is completely different Double Award Winning Legacy GT Wagon
Irrational Exuberance
Man - I would never do that to my car unless it was my 'beater'. whats the point of having a fun car if you cant have fun in it? whatever, its paid off and insured roads weren't actually that bad, i just chose to park on a bump area. Ive been on worse city streets than the actual logging road, its just got some loose rocks and dirt and mud pits where the gullys drain across. i didn't even jack up the coils and nothing hit, save for small rock hop that hit the Y pip one the exhaust... but its the greddy so the piping hangs so far down i dont even need a diff cover "i like my women the way i like terrorists... ...screaming gods name and ready to explode." http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/5479/troy3nu5.jpg

SeanP
Nice, I have road for your to try. Meadow Lake is off of 89 north of Truckee. There is a 12 mile dirt road that is pretty decently graded that leads to the Meadow Lake CG. This is the culmination of the Fordyce Jeep Trail and I was meeting some of my jeep buddies up there. Blasted the 12 miles in 2 and 3rd gear doing 4 wheel drifts in my OBXT. Can't wait to go back now that I have some more suspension mods. I agree with the use the toys philosophy. I have been an avid off roader in my jeep which has been on it's sides several times and doesn't much look like the jeep that was my wifes DD. My friends with the Mall Crawlers with chrome everything ask my advice all the time. I tell them to walk into their garage, grab a hammer, and whack a dent in the driver side fender ASAP. The first dents and dings hurt the most, after that it's all gravy.
urfsin
I just did a whole rally-x season with my OBXT. I find that most LGT guys are complete pussies when it comes to taking their car off road a little. Don’t be scared folks!!! I run against guys running STI limited’s. I see Maxima’s out there, mustangs, Lexus’s and all sorts of cars. There is even a rally VW Bug (not an old bug, but new one) in Rally America. If they can do it, so can you. Did you guys know that the late Collin McRae started his career in a legacy? Our all wheel drive system is the same as the Impreza, which the WRC car is based off of. So I don’t want to hear any crap about our cars not being off road worthy. I applaud any LGT owner who takes his car off road. BENCOB
I don't have an lgt but I've taken my na off road many a time. Nothing serious like you urfsin (aren't you 1 of the Team Scooby drivers?); just muddin a bit around the developing subdivisions going up around us. I brought it home 1 day all covered in mud and my wife had a cow. Thank GOD for an understanding neighbor who is ready to lend me his pressure washer for my real project of getting real dirty. Maybe by then I'll learn/know to take and post photos......Took my sister out yesterday whilst I broke in the 17" wheels+tires just installed (had to get dirt+mud on'em), showed her how I can drive our leggy up and over the curbs and back down again 1 wheel at a time. I've got the oem plastic skid plate but I really need to check out, buy and install something more serious. I want something for the rear diff as well but I've been told it is not available......peace
urfsin
Sweet!! Off roading Leggys FTW !! (Yeah, I was one of the Team Scooby drivers) Funny story: I did my whole rally-x season with the stock plastic undertray and it held up fine. Yes, there were some scratches and whatnot, but it did not break. On the last race of the year, I was redlining on the course alot and the heat from my unwrapped Perrin Headers melted the poor undertray!!! Now I am running with no undertray. I wonder how much a stock one from the dealer is? Slide It Sideways
pleiad7
Good to see that there are actually a few Legacy owners out there who aren't afraid of a little dirt! I wholeheartedly agree with SeanP... the first dents are the hardest to get over, after that it's all battle scars that you wear with pride. Ferenczy33
There's a nice wide open field off San Juan on Airport Blvd. in Natomas which developers have graded some dirt roads through that come out the other side just south of Arco Arena. No houses have been built out there yet and I'll take my LGT out there now and again and sling it around. There are some nice sweeping turns with slight berms to them that are a blast to slide through. Towards the Arco side of the field it turns to newly paved and developed streets for a subdivision that hasn't been built yet. I go out there for a little pavement action.
