Maybe if I go back to japan someone can offer me a drive in their car :p I'd guess there's ~20% more torque at idle on the 2.5, but it's also offset by probably ~200lbs more weight in the USDM version. With peak torque at 2400rpm, it should be very easy to get a easy street launch right into boost. With us that needs to be more like a 3000 rpm launch.
