SoCal Picture spots?

CobaltForge

Recommended Posts

Alright, time to enlist the help of all the great local photographers here. I'm looking for places to take great landscape pictures. My girl is really into landscapes and I wanted to see if you guys could recommend any great places.

I visited Santa Barbara this past weekend and we got some decent shots, but now I'd like to find some other nice spots. I was thinking that Long Beach is a nice place, as well as the Palos Verdes Peninsula. But I'm open to any suggestions, from Santa Barbara down to San Diego.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the suggestions guys. How about good beaches? I've been to like the Manhattan Beach Pier and the Huntington Beach pier, but anything local that's nice?

Also, what about nice architecture? I was reading about the Bradley Building in one of the AAA magazines that gets sent to my house.

there's a good makeout spot at the end of Hawthorne BLVD in PV. Gorgeous view & huge homes...

Hehe, been there, done that :)

I'm thinking of maybe trying to shoot nice buildings like this:

Bradbury Building (Downtown LA):

And also maybe the Disney Music Hall:

Any other suggestions?

Got a chance to stop at the Bradbury building this weekend. Unfortunately, you can't go to any of the floors above the ground floor, but still, it's a pretty cool building. For those of you that want to know where it is, it's on the corner of 3rd and Broadway in Downtown LA. From the outside it looks like a simple brick building, but once you get inside, it's pretty cool.

Here are some shots:

Everything is well Reza, thanks! Saw your other thread, welcome back and good luck on your endeavors!

Funny you mention the K-Bell, we actually did go there afterwards, she got a little too cold so we didn't stay for too long, but I did manage to get a few shots of the bell.
