Good driving schools

Recommended Posts

What are you planning on doing? I did the 2-day a few years back and did the car-control clinic earlier this year. The car control clinic was phenominal. If you think autocross in a viper is fun, wait till you try it in a formula dodge. :)
I live in Mass and just did a Skip Barber 2 day driving school at Lime Rock. I t was great - good skid pad work some autocross - all useful and fun stuff. I am going back twice more this year for more. Autocross with a Viper was a blast.
My Summer fun at Lime Rock June - 2 day driving school - it was great - I did this with my 24 year old daughter as a bonding thing . July - 1 day car control Aug - 1 day on skid pad and track with $4 million of all the AMG toys Nov - 2 day high performance driving school - Vipers and formula Dodges Hopefully I will have my car back by Nov and can run it around the autocross and compare it's times with me drivng to the Viper. The object was to up my skill level this Summer so I do not kill myself with my car when I get it back. The only thing I am thinking about after this a 3 day at Bondurant with my own car early next year. http://www.bondurant.com/courses/HPDweb.html I have been talking to Clark at Kingpin about having him do a twin Gt-30R turbo installation on my car after he finishes his first one this Summer. He is also doing NOS prespools on large turbos. This would have the car in Pheonix where Bondurant is.

i'm gonna go to Seat-Time (www.seat-time.com) July 15 at Roebling Road if i get a CV joint by then !!!! i've done an auto-x school and i personally didn't like it. something about running in a parking lot just didn't feel right to me and i couldn't get comfortable. i think the track day will be better for me (ok, so i'm a mental case!!) I'm becoming more partial to track days myself, but they are a lot more expensive, especially when you factor in tires, brakes, etc.
