10 spokes like these...

I'm looking for a set of rims. want 18's. Don't mind width, they're really just for looks. I like the Exel TZ-10 styles, but read too many bad things about wheelmax and the quality of those rims. Would like to stay under $200/rim. Anybody got suggestions on comparable rims to the TZ-10's or the rims in this pic?

Nah Rota doesn't make an evenly spaced 10 spoke like that, at least not one I can find.

ADR makes the Sokudo 10 which I'm not a fan of due to the lip. I want something that looks abit more stock.

I love the Advan Kreuzer, Advan 151C and OZ Superturismo, but they're all out of my price range sadly. Anyone seen anything like those in a cheaper brand?

Edit: I forgot Rota has the Tarmac 3, which isn't bad. That can go on the list... but anyone know anything like the Advan and OZ 15 spokes I listed above?

Yeah, I was just confirming, since it seemed like you weren't 100% sure.

You're right though, I wasn't being crystal clear. ;)

I like the look of 10 spoke wheels too. Leaning toward the Tarmac 2 or 3. Thought I'd heard rumors that the 2 was going away. Can anyone confirm?

Cheers!

Bringin this thread back. Evil, what negative things have you heard about Wheelmax or in particular Exel wheels? I was actually planning on buying a set of TZ-10's from them very soon, but your input could change my plans...

I don't think there's anything in particular wrong with the wheels themselves, they're obviously not the best made out there but I'm sure they're fine for day to day driving in summer. The problem seems to be with the companies who sell them - shipping the wrong colour, shipping only 3 out of 4 wheels, no one to talk to or help you at customer service, tires coming badly mounted or unbalanced, etc. It just seems those discount tire stores are more hassle than they're worth so I gave up on finding these.

They're still my fav rims for the Leg though (Advan RS copies, yup! :) If anyone here wants to sell me theirs let me know!

There's one question i have with those Sportmax wheels... if you look at the lug nuts holes, they are just as big as the lug nuts, no room for socket or key?

i hear they require a set of special lug nuts, but how do you go about tightening them?

extention and a big ass hex bit ;)

The ones pictured on the wheels have a larger diameter because they use a key that fits inside the lug...

A typical spline drive or narrow lug like these work fine...
