So by installing a catless up-pipe and gutting the dp, would i still be able to pass the NY emissions? :spin:

 

Thoughts? Experiences? Motivational Words?

lol, nice name...

 

i don't think you'd pass, i have 1 high flow cat and it still throws a cel.

^thats cause you have no engine management like an accessport.

 

If you have a tune that accounts for the lack of cats and blocks the rear 02 sensor from thowing a code, then you will pass an obdII scan and therefore an emissions test.

Thanks for telling me what i have and don't have in my car... :rolleyes:

 

If they do a sniffer test you will fail. Even if you have a high flow cat, which was my point, you will probably fail. By your remarks I'm guessing they don't do a sniffer test in NY like they do in NJ.

 

Also, if they do a visual inspection you will fail. You can avoid this by putting a heat shield on your downpipe.
