ITs just one of those exclusive type cars that rich guys park in their garages and show that they can get and afford one. Considering not all dealers are even getting one to sell, and some dealers only get one to sell per year this is never going to be a high production car as compared to a 911 turbo, GT3, vette, or Viper. THe first year of production the US only gets 200 which are all sold. It proved my point last night when they did the launch party and it was a bunch of rich guys doing a circle jerk about how rich they were. We had a lot of high dollar cars pull in so they can show each other how much money they can waste. He was right the first time. The GT3 only has 415 hp, not 420. The R8 was the pace car Actually from what the guy that trailered them told me, the R8 was used as the sales trainer car. For sales they get tp track an RS4 and get a ride along with a pro driver in the R8 on the track. Damn sales gets to do all the cool stuff. In your training all we get to do is take the cars apart and put them back together. We don't even get to drive them. The race RS4 was far more interesting. A lot of carbon fiber and fabrication was done on that car. They moved the engine 15" forward and completely changed the suspension from the stock set up. The brakes were huge. Problem is the guy hasn't driven stick in 25 years and really doesn't remember how. Is it bad that he asked how much a trans is? I'm supposed to be the 2nd R8 tech, so the guy that has already gone to training just keeps telling me that I'll have fun pulling the trans. Is there a Cobain smiley for the day I have to do it?
