RangerMan
Okay, I was able to loosen up the rear diff drain plug but did not want to remove it until I could get the fill plug loosened. There is a brace of some sort which prevents me from getting my ratchet all the way into the plug to get any sort of leverage. How did everyone else get that one out? Short adapter, ratchet and mallet are my current plan. I have a 3" adapter, I think a 1" will get me enough clearance and keep me from going too far (past the exhaust). RangerMan
That was pretty much what I figured. My current extension is just a tad too long so I am hitting the exhaust. Ahh to Harbor Freight... In other news I got my T-70 bit from O'Reilly Auto Parts for $6.99. They had to special order it, but they shipped it to the store so I didn't have to pay shipping. Lisle brand. Worked fine. gianspi
I actually used a 12" extension and it worked fine. Picked it up at AutoZone. enough zip ties and duct tape will fix anything.
