POP QUIZ.... horsepower questiosn... WRX Legacy

Recommended Posts

OK guys here is a pop quiz....

What are the horsepower ratings for the WRX and Legacy GT for the folling years?

2002

2003

2004

2005

2006

2007

2008

If a car is salvaged with 2,500 miles on the odometer and then re-sold does the manufacturer's warranty still apply?

Or is the warranty void after any major collision that results in a salvaged title?

My sister is seriously considering this car:

You are insane...that was so fast.

Too bad the warranty doesn't apply.

I didn't think it would.

But according to the seller the car rolled over and had the hood, bumper, fender, and roof replaced. The engine and drive-line should be good and covered from mechanical failures (not due to the accdient) but it would be impossible to prove that so they don't cover those cars....

As for the Horsepower...

Did the 2005 Legacy (new body style)

only have 185 HP?

Maybe it was a typing error?

The WRX now has the same engine as the LGT and STI but remains a lower 232 horsepower?

The LGT numbers for 2007-2008 are 243 HP correct?

Can someone add the engine size for each year and model?

I thoguht some of these only had the 2.0 several years back?

thanks

Fixed the 2005

the new WRX's have a smaller turbo.

243 indicates a change in how they measure HP, so yes it is technically the same HP as the previous years.

LEGACY

2.2

2.5

2.5

2.5

2.5

2.5

2.5

WRX

2.0

2.0

I am almost 100% sure I am worng with the 2002 LEgacy... it may be a 2.0 or 2.5

the wrx does not have the same engine as the legacy or sti.

WRXalso has a slightly smaller turbo.

243 is because they adjusted how they rate the engines hp.

wrx had a 2.0 liter until 2006

edit: you beat me BDII

+1

only the Legacy and STi are similar engine wise. The STi has inverted manifold whereas the legacy doesn't

They should have just put the STi set up in our car with a mild tune.
