Time Attack form of motor sports has become more and more popular in the United States recently within a pretty short amount of time. Time Attack has been referred to as Japan’s NASCAR and is considered as popular as drifting in Japan, if not equal. A couple great things about Time Attack is that with the classes a street car prepared to see track time can compete as well as your local tuner shop on the same track using. Another thing is due to the small amount of restrictions within Time Attack you can see a lot of parts available for your car on cars competing in the Time Attack. These things are why Time Attack has gotten popular and is now going more main stream with several magazines covering events as well as Speed TV and ESPN covering events. Time attack is obviously a great test of the cars' overall abilities.

 

 

The boys over at Super Street Magazine have been covering time attack in Japan for years now, and have been a catalyst in promoting japan vs usa time attacks on US soil, and bringing the cool aspects of time attack front and center to us N Americans.

 

I read this coverage far more than their drift coverage, which doesn't do it for me as much...
