The problem with the looks are the very skinny tires. The new Imprezza has 205 /50 tires. They do not fill the wheel wells at all. Look how much gap there is between the tire and the fender. So no WRX for the UK, first they get screwed with only being able to buy an ugly hatch (don't get me wrong I have nothing against hatches, just ugly ones). And second now they can't even get a WRX. I thought it was really ugly but unique. 04-05 rolled in and I was like WTF. UGLY. Then the 06-07. even uglier. Over the years I have seen people to grow into things they thought otherwise. I really think that will be the case with this model as well. If you ask me, My BugEye is the prettiest and best looking one. From the side it has a definite clown-shoe thing happening. While evocative of the MS3, it is only because they are both five door hatches. The MS3 looks like a Mazda. It has an identity. Kind of sucks that Subaru keeps relying on people to grow into liking the Impreza designs. Would be a lot easier if they just designed a car that impressed from the beginning. Like the Legacy GT.
