Arm rest extension you 5 MT guys like it?

It's OK... doesn't interfere with shifting (I have the short shift kit installed). Doesn't really extend high enough, although if I lowered the seat it might be OK. As others have noted, it doesn't add any storage like the optional WRX armrest extension. Of the optional stuff that I put in, the short shifter was well worth it and the Homelink/compass/autodim mirror was worth it, but I don't think I would spend the money on the armrest extension if I had to make the choice again. Hope this helps, kenzo

I have the 5MT, not the short shifter, but I'm short (5' 6"). The armrest extension is in a great spot for me, doesn't interfere with shifting, worth every penny, much more comfortable when cruising on the highway. I do plan to get both the short shifter and the Homelink mirror soon.

It isn't bad. When it is up, it can be tough to put stuff into the armreset. The latch is hidden more underneath. The rolltop for the cup holders can be tough to get at when the armreset is up and the rolltop is fully open. But you can put the armrest down and get to everything fine. I can live with it because I like to rest my elbows.

I thought I really needed the extension....but now that I have it...it's still too far back for me use to rest my right elbow on while steering with that arm. Unfortunately it was an $185 option at the dealership.....doh!

I am 6'1" and have my seat all the way back and tilted back a bit for better leg support on the lower cushion. After driving my car the last two days, I don't think I could live without the armrest extension. It is perfect for me. I had collapsed it to get something out of the storage below and forgot to raise it back. I defintiely missed it being there, and I have only had my car two days. My brother got an LLBean last night and he had the same comments about really liking the extension.

I'm in the NYC area. I bought a few things from Cheam, including the rain visors. They basically overnighted the parts to me. I'd have to check my invoice, but I think my shipping was 55 pounds. I'm sure there is a cheaper way to ship. I had originally ordered visors through CC-B back in August and they never showed up. Eddy never gave me any updates so I canceled my order with CC-B.

Have you gotten the visors yet? I have had my car all of three days and it has rained every one of them. I realize what everyone has been talking about.....water drips right onto the seat when you open the door. I hope the visors will help channel the water away to the sides.
