Spec B
That's awesome and exactly why I love the my LGT.. I like this quote "this one looked and sounded stock. No loud wistle or BOV or no change in exhaust. . ."
AWDxBOOST
why do they think we have a weight handicap? the base gt's weight like 70lbs more than an 05 sti
edmundu
I guess since Subaru bills the Sti as their topline performance model.... Forget the weight...the LGT has a significant aero advantage over the Sti, the kind that forces the STi to have at least 25whp more just to stay even. msb175
seems like boxrpwr was there to do some explaining to help them understand. he says "vortex generators at all four wheels." is that what those are? don't even know how to begin to explain how they look. those flaps by the wheels? BOXRPWR
that's what they are. they create small swirl patterns to disturb the "dead air zones" that develop around the wheel wells. Fluid flow (yes air is a fluid!) is often times counter-intuitive. for instance, small turbulence along a surface can create much lower resistance than smooth laminar flow. Take for instance a golf ball. Why is the surface dimpled instead of butt-smooth? Because the dimples create tiny disturbences in the air stream that lowers wind resistance (friction) making the ball fly farther.

mickeyd2005
The rear tires have two staggered flaps for each tire. So, that makes six! 8^)
