My Valentine 1 install (remote display)

Time for a quick update.

Etching out factory style cutouts was harder then I first thought it would be. Removing the inside paint was not so bad, but the outside was also painted making the light passing through really hard to notice. Removing the outside paint looked bad imo.

I ended up cutting out plastic to show the arrows and cut out a section for the sticker showing the display info.

Here is a picture with the cluster re-assembled:

So far I have only soldered the LEDs for the arrows [i will get a better shot later]:

Tomorrow or Saturday I should have this project completed.

I still want to tweak it just a little. I need to adjust the LED alignment and increase the bogey count brightness.

That and I need to find that screw i dropped into the steering column while trying to put it all back together :)

The camera didn't really pick up the Red LEDs,

but the strength bar goes, 2x yellow, 2x orange, 2x red/orange, & 2x red

Band bar - Laser=White, Ka=Red, K=Orange, X=Yellow
