rtbrjason Posted May 22, 2009 Share Posted May 22, 2009 I looked into it a bit further, and removed the plastic from each IR receiver. The 2 wire version has a tiny very simple circuit board. The 3 wire version has a slightly more complex circuit board with a few diodes, a cap and a led. The IR receiver is definitely a 3 prong vs the 2 prong on the other (mono) cabled unit. If need be, I can break out a real camera and get better pics of the board. It doesn't seem like it would be impossible to duplicate. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
