mand3j
The only time I've gotten ESC to light up is in the snow. It's been great letting the computer do some of the correction. I'm also suprised how late it kicks in, which I like. Yes, you can turn it off with a push of a button. Is it really off? I would think so. I spent last night in a parking lot drifting and doing donuts and while I never did get a spin that put my 180 degrees from my direction of travel, I had several drifts that hit about 90 degrees. Never felt the car taking over at any point. Like many have said here, the Subaru is really predictable if driven within reason and ESC isn't really needed. But if you push beyond normal limits, it's ESC is nice to have.
