Quick question to identify this wheel style

From a recent thread about pictures of wheel fitments...

I am curious if anyone knows the name of those wheels, or their manufacturer... I like how the spokes come out to the rim edges.

It would be nice if I could find out if this style were available in 18" Legacy/WRX fitments...

I believe the style is referred to as Mesh. There are many manufacturers who make these.

My personal preference is the new (there was an older version) 5zigen Heidfeld Mesh which has a thinner appearance. http://www.wheelmax.com/_images/products/heidfeldhb_z.gif

Or you can get Enkei RPM2 (Bortex):

You can buy them from Edge Racing:

Im also selling my used set of 17x7 +45mm offset Heidfelds (Generation 1) as well for $400 for the set.

I have seen it described as a y-spoke, or one manufacturer even called it "the classic spoked y"

Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!

Whatever you wanna call it, I love 'em. My 18x7.5 Enkie RPM2's with summer rubber are sitting in the garage just waiting to be put back on the wagon for another season of performance driving:)

I am not sure that either of the pictured wheels are the same as the white legacy is wearing.

The Heidfeldt Mesh have fewer spoke pairs, but generally the same curvature to the spokes.

The bortex wheels look good, and I am going to look into them... but they don't have the curvature, and with such high offset, some three-dimensional aspects only help.

The Speedy wheels "Hyper Fang", that keefe indirectly linked, is *very* close. The center is different, and dual-drilled in this picture, but the center isn't dropped the same way. TOO BAD that it is 17x7. I'd use em for winter, but I am looking for a bigger fitment than that.

I am still smitten with the Exel Radius wheel(and various other brand names for the same wheel casting...) as well. (the picture is shown of the "formula mesh" from ewheelz.com, same casting as the exel branded wheel, and hopefully this version is only single-pattern drilled. (look nicer than half of the lug holes empty.)

I am working on getting my exel wheels ready for sale, and considering what to replace them with in an 18x7.5 or wider fitment...

I am just smitten with the "mesh" style wheels. I am even considering some of the more triangular "speedmesh" designs, like this Azul wheel, (good on pattern, bad on offset, 18x8, 5x100, 35mm offset.)

Anyone with any other lead on the above wheels pictured on the white legacy, or mesh wheel discussion welcomed...
