PhilT
there are a select few dealerships that recognize the RE92's as poop and change them out on their own dime well, yeah, they charge you for it eventually Double Award Winning Legacy GT Wagon
STG
I'd still like to find out which dealer actually swaps out the tires on all their Legacys, whether the charge you or not! I don't believe it! Name and phone number, please!
sysfailur
Heh I can't say I've had any issues with mine yet.. although I have slid on a sloped (to the right) turn to the left almost EVERY day on my way to school. It's at a stop light, and I am not going fast at all but I think the combination of acceleration, turning, and the negative slope causes it. When I upgrade after Xmas to 18"ers I'll be switching probably to Kumho ECSTA ASXs.. I hear they're pretty noice.
Barklessdog
With all the bad mouthing I was prepared for the worst in bad weather. In hard rain I had no hydroplaning. With 6" of snow they did not loose traction and my ABS never went off. So far mine have been fine, but I am not driving crazy with them either. SubiGT
It was so important, he said it twice....... Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!
rougeben83
Eh, I think the RE92's got their bad rep from all the teens that bought WRX's when they first came out, and of course with their bloated egos and inflated sense of...Mcrae-ness...immediately went on NastySoCk to bitch about how their tires didn't save them from spinning into a tree after streetracing a civic in the rain... JohnnyBoyShoots
I think only 2.5i Legacies get 205/50R17 Yokohamas. My '06 2.5i from Van Bortel Subaru has the Yokahamas. In fact I curbed one this summer, and my extended warranty replaced it at no cost to me. They gave me a great deal on my trade in (a problem-riddled '99 Passat), and they have an "everyone pays invoice" policy.
