Jedi Pimp
The WRX TR lost to the MS3 probably because of the tires http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Drives/Comparos/articleId=117762?tid=edmunds.il.home.photopanel..1.*
Whitestar Pilot
Not going to bother clicking on that link. It is laughable that a WRX would lose a comparo test to a Mazda3, but... The Mazda 3 with the 17" rims and the 2.3 motor does handle extremely well. I'm sure this helped sway the writers.
PGT
I'm a firm believer that cars should be spec'ed the same. the Mazda has summer tires....of course it's gonna perform better in all aspects. Duh! the Cooper S would have done better with summer rubber, as would the WRX TR.
rc0032
This is not the first time the MS3 has come out on top in a comparison
PGT
look at the braking numbers for a Spec B vs. an LGT and you can use that delta in figuring out how the Mazda would fare with RE92's. It uses Bridgestone Potenza RE050A's as OEM, just like the Spec B (same size even).
Vimy101
The Spec.B has OEM 18" wheels.
