Skillz
I think the Meagans do to. I'm just trying to figure out the difference between the two.
mickeyd2005
I wouldn't consider the GTspec uppipe to be integrated. The GTspec comes with an uppipe that is specially designed for the headers. The MR has an integrated uppipe.

MDTURBO
I'd recommend the 3-bolt flange setup... helps prevent leaks in an area where a great deal of heat (and bolt-back-out) will occur. only vibrant and gt-spec brand headers to my knowledge have the 3-bolt flange setup. I sell both brands, both have up-pipes in the kit, and I'm partial to gt-spec myself (it's what I have on my car now) spoolup comes on a bit faster. Also, if you need 2000f coating, I can also offer this for +100 on any header I sell; no need to ship it cross country for coating. 2012 Forester XT. Stage 2+ Retired from Racing. t0ad
Are you saying the reviews are bad? One of the guys over there had the MR headers on a wrx and ended up with a cracked weld and a hole, mainly because they wrapped them. I don't think I'll ever trust wrapping after seeing what it does when not done absolutely perfect. I have the MR headers ceramic coated and I absolutely love em. They were a bitch to get in (but I didn't have to jack up the motor), but they are of high quality and you can't beat the price. THe only bad review I saw was the one about the guy who had the uncoated ones and wrapped them. IF I hear nothing but worship with these i will buy them. If they aren't so durable i might just get an uppipe and forget about the headers. Gruppe-S
If you guys are looking for a great header, we have our Gruppe-S header. It is a 4 to 1 unequal length. It's made from T304 stainless steel piping, mandrel bends and precision cut flanges using CNC. This header is dyno proven to make power, it will not lose power or torque in 2.5L applications anywhere in the RPM range. (look here) http://gruppe-s.com/Subaru/subeng/grp_mani.jpg and we do have some in stock -Randy Randy@gruppe-s.com 510.783.5300

I'm waiting on some dyno numbers While wrapping headers works to hold in heat it does severely increase the incidence of cracking. There is a reason no header manufacturer will warranty a header that has been wrapped. So far so good with the coated MR headers I have sold. In speaking to MR, they stated that their failure rate on the headers is about 1%. Seems pretty good to me given that nothing in this world is perfect. As for dyno numbers, at least one of my customer has said they were going to dyno their car before and after the headers. I was considering doing it myself, but have decided to move forward with my twinscroll setup, which obviously uses a different header.
