Opie
The tire pressure sensor is in the OEM wheel, it's part of the valve stem. You either need to reinstall the OEM wheels in the same spot they came off or see if the sensor can be mounted on your aftermarket wheels and then have it reprogrammed for the car. mwiener2
or you could have the TPMS turned off My Mods List (Updated 8/22/17) 2005 Outback FMT Running on Electrons
mickeyd2005
Does the 2007 TPMS use a transmitter inside the wheel? You should probably be able to buy an extra set of sensors. When your tires go bald, have the new tires mounted with them. In the meantime,... what mwiener2 said... I like that type of system and am probably going to get an aftermarket system for the minivan. 20lgt06
i am going to check if the sensor is in the valve stem-- if it is i will see how much it will cost for a spare set to install on the new rims. otherwise since the flashing light is ticking me off im going to put back the stockers thanks for the reply
mwiener2
They are in the stems. You need to have the tire off the rim to install them My Mods List (Updated 8/22/17) 2005 Outback FMT Running on Electrons
Repsak
mounting and balancing is about 15 a wheel so think anywhere from 40-60 to change them back depending where you go.

pillboy
Just put the old wheels in back so they can talk to the car and everybody's happy. It is still ugly.

Spinjockey
Just put the old wheels in back so they can talk to the car and everybody's happy. The sensor is activated after the car goes above 15 or so to save battery life so you'd have to bolt them on the side of your new wheels or put them on a teadmill in the back!
