muffler info?

looking for a few types of mufflers that will fit my 05gt.talked to exhaust shop down here and he said bring it and i will take care of you.my question is, i know that somewhere on this board someone had some magnaflows that they said sounded pretty good and not too loud.sorry to beat this dead horse again but i cant find the thread on here.open to suggestions on different kinds of cans.thanks i appreciate it!:icon_wink

Prodrives are reputedly pretty quiet IF you don't change out the rest of the CBE, or possibly even the TBE. I matched them with a Cobb catted DP and Lachute res/Y and they were VERY loud. Also, I had fitment issues with this setup, tho I understand a few have put them on wagons with an otherwise stock exhaust and found them satisfactory, tho tucked in more than on a sedan.

STi UP+Cobb DP w/ HFC + stock mid & Y pipe + Prodrive here. Not obnoxious at all. Wifey follwed me once in her car windows down and she said she could not hear anything under normal driving. When I stepped on it, that was the only time she heard the exhaust note.

Another possibility would be to either clean or black out the mufflers and put on aftermarket tips. The mufflers look very nice cleaned, tho I wonder how long it will last. Here's the link to the muffler cleaning thread:
