praedet
Can anyone help me install a turbo this weekend? Nothing special, just a ported/polished/coated VF40... Ted

rkl303
I would love to help but no experience, a little bit far for me, and unfortunately I signed up to donate blood at a bad time. If you do it next weekend I'd be willing to lend a hand(although I am not sure how much use I would be).

mccorry
I'll be out there in a few weeks. But seriously... it isn't that hard. You had it 80% done when you did your up/down. The rest is the coolant and oil lines, inlet hose, and mounting bracket. Make sure you PRIME and BREAK IN your turbo when you get it installed. Crank the car for 10-15 seconds (without starting) a few times.... then start it and let it idle for a few minutes......
praedet
Yeah, I know you will Will you be here on the weekend at all :lol I know about pulling the fuel pump fuse and cranking till the oil light goes off, but how long should I run it for "break-in"? 500 miles of no boost? Ted Just take it easy for a while. No one installs a new turbo and doesn't get into boost for 500 miles.
