rodan
Anyone tried Dynamat, or something similar to mitigate exhaust noise? My setup is not overly loud, but it would be even better if I could quiet it down just a bit inside the car.... I was thinking of something like this to line the trunk: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-KIFYODXBceZ/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=890&I=15411105&search=dynamat
PGT
I lined my spare tire well with three layers of the equivalent of 'Super'. Not much different.
rallispec
i would imagine that you'd have to do a lot of dynamatting before it made a difference.... so many places for sound to come in through.
rodan
Well, it was just a thought. I was thinking lining the trunk/spare tire well might mitigate the resonance from the mufflers at highway speeds. Oh, well. Thx!
Waxiboy
I sprayed 3M rubberized undercoating (it is also a sound deadener per 3M) on the sheet metal on top of my Prodrive cans. I do not know if it helped though. I am thinking that for wagons, it would also help to do the inside of the tailgate...but that would make our aluminum piece heavy.
