Deodorant on leather seat

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I let my wife take my car for the day, and sure enough something happens. She says she left her deodorant on the seat and the sun melted it onto my seat. I cleaned the seats with Lexol brand products and conditioned them. It looked like it cleaned u p the mess, but came back about a week later. Looks like a huge dry spot on the black leather. Any suggestions, home remedies, cleaners to use?

I've never dealt with deodorant on leather before. I'd have to see it before I knew what to do with it. My first suggestion would be to clean the area thoroughly with a good leather cleaner. Just about any leather repair shop should have what you need. I honestly don't know of what I would classify as 'really good' leather cleaner that you can buy off the shelf. Definitely call a leather specialist and see what they say. more than likely it is something they will have more experience with than I do since leather jackets and such proabably come in closer proximity to deodorants than the leather upholstry that I deal with.
