EddieWan
I just got one the other day. Not sure if they really make any difference but a couple of people told me I really should get one after I had the windows tinted so went and got one. I'll use for a while and see what I think I reacon. Supposedly it'll protect the interior from the sun.
OCDetails
I use a Covercraft UVS100 sun shade in my cars. They last forever and are much better at blocking heat than the cheap ones you get at Target or somewhere like that. I've been very happy with mine. I'll have to take some pictures sometime with it in the window so you can see why it is one of the best ways to block heat and UV rays from getting in you car. For one thing it is custom fit to fill your windshield. It isn't some 'one size fits all' product. You have to specify the make and model of your car so they can send you the one that fits like a glove. Basically my sunshade is the same size as my windshield with a notch cut out to fit the rear view mirror. It is awesome and I wouldn't go any other way. _________________________________________ “Cleanliness becomes more important as godliness becomes more unlikely.” O C D E T A I L S . Guest *Jedimaster*
Does it make the interior coole rin the summer?
OCDetails
Big time. In conjunction with tinted windows this sunshade dramatically reduces inside temperatures. Really any sunshade will do that, but I really don't see how this one could be improved. I had the same shade on my Acura for 5 years and when I sold the car I gave it to a friend who is still using it. They are well worth getting. I'll post a picture today after I get a chance to wash the car. _________________________________________ “Cleanliness becomes more important as godliness becomes more unlikely.” O C D E T A I L S . OCDetails
Covercraft UVS100 Heat Shield $44.95 at DetailCity.com Of course, take your 10% off that and it is a pretty sweet deal. It is hard to beat that no matter where you look. Is it expensive for a sunshade? Maybe in comparison to the top of the line $15 sunshade at Target, but do you want to have to replace it every year or have one that lasts for several years? Again, considering the value of the dash, leather, and also the energy savings since you won't have to run the AC as long to cool down your car, I'd say $40 bucks is a good deal. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y42/OCDetails/UVS100/UVS100-2.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y42/OCDetails/UVS100/UVS100-5.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y42/OCDetails/UVS100/UVS100-1.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y42/OCDetails/UVS100/UVS100-3.jpg _________________________________________ “Cleanliness becomes more important as godliness becomes more unlikely.” O C D E T A I L S . Mungo
OCD - I'm shocked that you of all people didn't go tint all around. Say it isn't so. Say that my eyes are fooling me. Mungo
OCDetails
I did. In Utah you can only go like 50 on the fronts. It looks lighter because you are looking through the tint and out the windshield. The back windows you are looking through the tint and out another tinted window. It's 20 in back and 50 up front. I should have been able to go to 43 up front, but the stupid tint shop didn't know the law got updated. _________________________________________ “Cleanliness becomes more important as godliness becomes more unlikely.” O C D E T A I L S . Mungo
I think there is a similar law here in California. However I have heard it is only (or maybe primarily) enforced against societal miscreants.

OCDetails
I'll see what can do. I know that the Covercraft products aren't a profit center for DetailCity.com. I may be able to convince Dwayne to package it with some other products to make it work. _________________________________________ “Cleanliness becomes more important as godliness becomes more unlikely.” O C D E T A I L S .
