racing teams

Recommended Posts

I'm not totally sure if this belongs in here or not (mod? move to general chat?), but I was just wondering if you guys see a lot of "racing teams" around where you live. When I was out in upstate ny I used to see lots of them. My favorites were "Team Shattered Dreamz" and this group of guys who all had matching robin's egg blue paintjobs .. I think they actually went by Team Gay Racing .. except i'm not sure any of them were gay. *shrug*

Oh yeah, and my gf's brother and his buddies (saturn drivers) all got decals that said "Team Plastik Racing: Plastik makes perfect."

ANYWAY .. I have my LGT and my gf has her 05 wrx, so we came up with our own team (ok, not really, we just like to mock people):

I saw alot of douche bag "racing" teams in Hawaii that seemed to NEVER set a single tire on any sort of track or took part in any racing even. Mostly they were just an excuse to put more stickers on their Hondas and act stupid on the streets. Most of them had pretty childish names that no self-respecting man would even acknowledge as being part of.

Now there were 2 or 3 groups that were serious but i dont think any of them went so far as to get matching paintjobs. They mostly just represented then name of the club at the events and on the track.

Billy, I am bringing up my GT for the Wicked Meet.. not sure about the Racecomp Engineering RS though.. but the GTWorx Baja Support Vechicle is coming with me as well (lugging some parts to meet up with other members to deliver/trade/etc). Im still looking for the driver to have the 1999 RS go up.. but I might have to leave that at home with the other 2003 RS as well.

hey, I am a reformed ricer that actually took the time and effort to turn into a real racer ;) Well almost a racer...

Hoping to get my NASA license next year and move onto getting my SCCA license as well.. I would like to compete in Speed World Challenge and USTCC as well.. we'll see, only time, determination, and more effort will get me there.
