I'm aiming to get the look al-gorithm has for my black LGTwagon...

Hey al, what are those outlets size?

I'm looking at these mufflers here. I know nothing about them. But for the price, I hope they're not too loud and they fit!

Any comments or info? Or direct this to the correct spot (now that I think about it).

My tips are 2.5" but I am going to venture to 2.75". If that doesn't look right, then I will still have the 2.5" ones. I will let everyone know how it works out if I ever finish my exhaust... hahaha

Got my exhaust done today 2 Magnaflow mufflerss #11225 magnaflow y pipe #10748 and those Ebay tips from above. Came out very nice stainless 2.25 back to the mufflers. Used the stock mid pipe and resonator. It's on the quiet side right now, I have a gutted DP and am waiting for my Crucial race mid pipe so that will "louden" it up a bit.

Dude that sentence gave me a headache. So you have no mufflers at all?

Rabyd, I was looking at those tips, could have got them cheap but wanted to stay a little bit smaller, more stealth :icon_bigg. PS mier, wonder how long that avitar will last?

Blitz Nur-Spec Exhaust axle back with a 114.3mm(4.5 inch) tip.

3" Turboback

These pics have the Blitz Silencers, but I had to cutt each silencer to make it fit the exhaust tip. Also had to drill a hole for easy to removal of silencer just in case:icon_twis .

When I take the silencers off, i'll take another pic.

^ Nice!

That's the Racing system, correct? How loud is that, w/o silencers, on your LGT?

Looks like you have a custom Y, too, if not other piping along with that. What's your complete setup?

I am running a Perrin uppipe/Perrin catless downpipe 3" downpipe with a 3" midpipe that has 2 resonators which are also 3". Even with that and the silencers, my car is fairly loud, but bearable.

It sounds really nice without the silencers. If you want a soundclip, I can provide that too. All I know is that I definitely gained something from this setup, but it's just too loud when driving my family around. Next time I get the car lifted, I'll take pics of the entire exhaust system. Got it done at Eastside Mufflers in Palmdale, Ca. They've been doing custom exhausts for over 10 years I believe.

^ Cool beans, bro. That "sounds" like a very, very nice setup. :)

I know what you mean about family - the reason why I went (and searched desperately for) a quieter system is one and the same. I've abused my wifey for far too long with my smelly (catless) and loud DSMs, and promised that I'd make life with Winky liveable for her.

Sound clips would be great, as that would add to the LGT.com database overall. See if you can contact fellow member and brother scans007 - he hosts an awesome private website that collects all types of LGT-related media, and is one of the two major (and most referenced) exhaust sound-clip archives.

I'll have to find some way of sound-clipping my Nur-Spec Touring canisters.

Take care, bro! :)

Honestly, I wish I could drive around w/out those silencers. You just got to love that rumbling. I will try my best to get some sort of sound clips soon for the setup in idle and when shifting from 1st - 4th with and without the silencers.

Genomes....schweet..... :) :)

Ooooh, Autospeed - nice..... :)

Here's a bad picture of my very, very shiny grapefruit launchers:

Sorry for the bad picture quality, but I've really got *no* digicam (or photography, for that matter) Kung-Fu.

Here's a much better representation of what these canisters look like (as well as how shiny they are), from the kind gentleman who sold me these puppies, former LGTer Bluesmaster. I hope he does not mind that I've hijacked his pictures for this thread:

These are Blitz Nur-Spec Touring canisters. Available in axle-back format only.

Currently they are paired to my stock pipes from the last cat, back - this weekend should see them paired with a Lachute Y and custom Magnaflow-resonated mid-pipe combo, thanks to Peter at Pltek. :D

These canisters produce a very mature sound. Low-end rumble is their game. At idle, the distinct lumpy thump of our Boxer setup is the most audible characteristic. The mufflers are loudest from inside the cabin at between 1.5K to 2.5K RPM, where they produce a bassy, resonant (although it's so far from "annoying" that it's not even funny) rumble. As the revs climb, noise is isolated to outside the cabin only - and in-cabin volume can pretty much totally be attributed to induction noise, turbo and engine sounds, and gear-whine.

In my setup (sedan) - currently speaking of course, i.e. on stock pipes and stock turbo, with the exception of Crucial UP and shorty DP - there is no resonance/droning at highway speeds. As a matter of fact, at above 3K RPM, the cabin is nearly as quiet as stock.
