CombatCQB
Anyone know if they are available at the dealers yet? If not, where is the paint code on this car? 1600miles and already I need touch up paint. I also have a nick on the windshield too. Have to get that clear bra soon. Ken S
I believe some of the colors are the same from previous years so those would be available at dealers. Don't know about all the colors. I ordered my touchup paint from www.paintscratch.com. They already list the 05 Leg/OB colors. Ken

CombatCQB
Yea, I called the dealer and they said the part number is available but it's TBA on when it's actually available. Thanks Ken, I ordered mine from paintscratch this morning. Their shipping is $5 for every order which is kinda weird, I ordered 2oz, but thought I could have ordered a pint and paid $5 to ship. Ken S
Yeah, that flat shipping rate from Paintscratch bites especially if you're ordering only paint pens. But I think they take their business seriously. Mine came with a sample swatch. They ask you to try out your paint on it and if it doesn't match to contact them for a replacement. chinchy
Has anyone tried the "Autosharp Pen" from autovisuals ( http://www.autovisuals.com )? They don't have the 2005 models listed yet, but just wondering. Also recommended to me was the Langka system ( http://www.langka.com ) to remove the paint blobs. Instructions are here: http://www.langka.com/nfhow.htm#top Please note, I have no affiliations with either of the above products. Just looking for the best product.. Thanks! icehousewvu
The code for the paint in my car is found under the hood on the right hand side on a label located towards the windshield.
Deer Killer
While we're on this topic, what's a suitable paint prep before you use the touchup, paint thinner ok?
Ken S
The instructions that came with my touchup paint said to wipe down the area with alcohol. Most touchup paints don't require primer. Ken
CombatCQB
I waxed over mine to protect it a little bit, so I'll need to use some lite dishsoap to remove the wax first.
agctr
For the guys in Oz who cant get the paint directly from the dealer, check out "The TouchUp Guys" they are in most capital cites in Oz and they do a great job. Adam.
Trent Bates
I've tried that Langka stuff but never had much luck with it. It's been about 4 years since I messed around with it. I might need to look at it again!
bemani
I found that you have to wait days, or better, weeks before appling Langka to get good results on the Subaru OEM touch up paint.
c_hunter
Langka is awesome, I love it. I agree, it helps to wait longer than the recommended 45 min. I got touchup paint for my XT a couple weeks ago, from Liberty Subaru (mail order). Craig
