GearJamr
I was cleaning the Valenti taillights I have after repairing a piece that had broken off during shipping. That side is good. The passenger side (which was untouched) apparently has a small leak somewhere in the seal. Should I take it apart and re-seal it, or would a small bead of silicone be good enough? silverton
To do it the right way you would want to bake it apart and reseal it, but you could try a bead on the outside... I've sealed up some rear cam plug leaks this way
GearJamr
I only found it because I was wet sanding the epoxy area where I did the repair. Figured I might as well give them both a sanding and polish. The leak seems to be at the bottom (when it is mounted on the car), and that is the only location water dripped out when I moved it around. Thought maybe a quick bead of silicone might be enough, but the re-seal does seem the better way.
