olivierdb
I'm having a issues in cold weather. When i start my car it charging at low voltage 11.4 ish. After maybe 2-3min idling the battery light goes out and the voltage goes up to 13.9 . Alternator and the battery or brand new. Eny advice? Does the pcm control the voltage or it all done on the alternator side?
rhino6303
Alternator, cluster, and a fuse control the charging system. Check the alt-s fuse in the engine bay.
Haze
My OBXT does the same thing. Happens when starting it after sitting outside below roughly 0°F. I've been through everything in the charging system I can think of and haven't found anything wrong. It hasn't become any worse over time and has never stranded me so I gave up trying to fix it.
