I was going to apologize for the dirty car, but then I remembered that I got an OB to get it dirty.

The Thule rack is a must if you're out playing. Can't open the back all the way with the box on, but it works. Kayaks do the same thing, so I'm just used to never seeing it open all the way.

Thats a big Thule for the OB, i had one on my Lincoln Navigator and the way around the hatch is to drill new holes up front more on the box, and move the box forward a few inches until you clear the hatch opened.
Thats a big Thule for the OB,
It is, but oh so wonderful on the road trip to Bozeman. It's amazing how much stuff you can get in it. Four overpacked people and still had room to drop 1/3 of the back, add a sleeping bag, pillow, and thermarest, and North Dakota was gone before I knew it. :)
Snow's gone, box is gone, and a few little STi hints have hit my OBXT. I'm curious what you all think of the decals on the doors and rack fairing.
Since you asked: decals = rice

You should get credit! I've thought about this myself. I vote for not rice, but for nice.
Maybe you could explain "rice" "ricer" and such to me...
Any modification intended only to impress or to provide the appearance of increased performance, while actually providing none, is rice, in my opinion. I'll concede that an STi sticker on an STi equipped or engineered car is much less ricey than one simply stuck on without any STi content.

Thanks for the definition Kevin - I was curious to see what others thought: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10967 Maybe this is just my attempt at consoling the little guilty voice in my head that's still upset about my decision to be sensible and get an OBXT rather than a true STi.
Decals are for race cars and advertisments--why place any decals and advertise for someone else--they look foolish!
Why? Individuality, uniqueness, for a change... I used to ski for a living so having my world decalled was actually my job, maybe I never got over it. Either way, thanks for the input, but I'm willing to go out on a limb to try something different. :)

After 5 minutes of work, I lost 82 hp..... and what was i thinking by buying black? Washed it in the morning and within a couple of hours it was all dirty and dusty. :(

Jedi, I know what you mean about it growing on you. I almost got a champagne/gold monotone which was very classy looking. And the blue (which I ended up getting) was my least favorite color. But the blue had the armrest extension and the short throw shifter, which I really wanted. I have since decided the monotones don't have the same rugged/tough look of the two-tone outbacks. Monotones are still very sharp looking, and very classy. But my two-tone has grown on me and I love the blue now. AZ Burns

Well, no, not specifically anyways. I wish I was that good! Photochop was used to crop and edit a few things, namely the removal of my plate. The sand is really thrown up and all over the place! Photo was taken out near Vantage, WA if you know the area. We stopped to play when we saw the dunes while on the way to my brothers wedding this summer. Check out subaruoutback.org > Gallery > boxxerace Several other "action" shots there.
