I typically put my cell in there at an angle pointed up, but there seems to be no documentation on what its actually called or what its intended use is. The car sits in the garage most of the time, not out in the hot sun. The Outback has the same spot. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs.
