jrvp20
hey everyone recently installed 2 greddy barrels on my 2008 legacy gt 2.0 turbo. the downpipe and midpipe is oem however i noticed since the barrels changed on top end the car feels flat its builds speed but not as it normally would. On a pull off the car is aggressive as before however its just the top end feels different. Car has factory tune everything is oem not mods just the exhaust. Could the exhaust barrel change cause this or would a tune be required? thanks Edited August 12, 2023 by jrvp20
KZJonny
Probably not the exhausts themselves, tho I suppose it's not impossible. The main restriction in the OE system is going to be the DP (cats). The mid-pipe is already plenty big enough for the engine.... Even the stock cans are plenty enough flow for a stock engine. Are you sure there is a difference in performance, because there really ought not to be.... Butt dynos are notoriously inacurrate, and it's more likely a matter of the difference in how the car feels with the new tone/drone/etc...
blackobxt
Unless something his now hitting something causing false knock in the upper rpm’s causing it to pull timing and lay over
