ge0thermal
So that stupid rubber inspection cover on the top of the bell housing fell off. While I was trying to fish it out, I ended up bumping it to where it now sits... inbetween the turbo and the block. I don't see how I can fish it out unless I remove the turbo, so my question is: Is it okay to leave it and maybe it will melt a bit? Maybe carry a fire extinguisher with me? I really don't feel like removing the turbo and/or intake manifold to get to it. Thanks for thoughts or suggestions.
KZJonny
Compressed air from the other side of whichever direction it will move towards, ideally? I don’t think it’s likely to burn your car to the ground, but I personally would not wait for it to ‘melt a bit’ and find out what damage it causes. Every chance it might decide to catch fire instead, in which case there is plenty of stuff nearby which might be happy to join the party.
