black with darken front headlamps

I did my headlamp darkening last night and wanted to get some opinions.

so you had opened them up once already to clear them?

 

 

 

yup, back in april of something. THis time I forgot to reinstall the damn little screws in the back of the housing. In addition I'm getting condensation in the passenger side one so back off it comes to get more sealent.:icon_frow

thinking about doing that when I paint my grill black. should look hot with the red L7 floating in the middle.

It's fairly easy to do. To clear them I think the hardest part of the whole thing is taking off your bumper, which isn't that hard at all, just the push pins are a a b*tch. I prefer the baking method because you get a nice even melting of the glue, and they come apart like butta. preheat to 250 and bake for 20 minutes. When you are done, seal them back up by baking them one more time for about 20 minutes.

 

In painting them, the hardest part would be sanding down the parts you are going to paint and taping off the parts you don't want to paint.

 

I've had no condensation problems with mine and I've driven through quite a few rainy days. Yesterday was a big downpour and no condensation at all.
