gorillafan208
Hi, I am finishing up a timing belt job and trying to put the right cam sprocket back on, but there is a protrusion on the front that stops the bolt from being able to fully thread and I was wondering what I should do/if I did anything wrong to make it like this. m sprank
What stopped you from inserting the dowel fully?
gorillafan208
I tried tightening it more but it wouldn't budge, is the dowel supposed depress fully when you torque down the cam?
doublechaz
Yes. Pull the belt and sprocket and find out why that pin won't seat fully.
gorillafan208
Ok thank you. I'm guessing it is some grit or something stopping it from seating. Will try cleaning it and hope that fixes it
