garygbnj
I just read that a Subie only has a life expectancy of about 150-200k miles. I had thought 300k was a reasonable possibility. I change my oil and filter @ 5k with synthetic and a quality filter. The car is meticulously maintained. I even changed the oem 6mt to an STI 6mt. The car is modified to about 390 hp (sae net) and I do not "beat" on it, just enjoy it. Are there any other opinions out there on life expectancy? Scubaboo
I've seen some over 200k here, dont recall any at 300k. Many posting at higher mileage seem to be fixing to move on to newer cars.
garygbnj
Thanks. How far over 200k have you seen? Any idea as to what wears out?
m sprank
Everything will need attention. If you made it to 200k on the original engine you are doing VERY well.

Sorry, not personally, but here on the forum. Here is one member at 215k, he is looking at rear suspension work. https://www.legacygt.com/topic/138896-rear-negative-camber-tire-wear-issue/ The threads I've seen, as long as it's not the motor, it's usually wear and tear stuff. Suspension, minor electronic stuff, usual older car stuff. The way it looks like you take care of your car you could reach your mileage easily as long as your motor cooperates and you are willing to spend on the wear and tear stuff as they come up, including a timing belt service or two. Good luck!
