Eric L
Do you mean you have signals from the OEM 6 CD changer feeding into the Alpine? I thought a big part of the reason for going AM was to get better CD sound. yea i only use it for long trips etc... just as another option. it was like 10 bucks for the adapter, so why not give myself the option. SVXWRX
I agree the VDC unit is expensive, although it's more like $550. I've spent more than that on aftermarket head units. It accomplishes the goal of adding MP3 capability. The aux input for XM comes from the Cleansweep. so you're going to spend $950+ to do less than a $400 aftermaket HU can do? again, its yer money.... Eric L
The point of the AM is to undo the weird EQ circuits found in many (but not all) factory head units.. I left my factory head unit set at volume 25 (using manville's reccomendation that 25 is the flattest point in the factory eq's curve). I still think the CleanSweep is a great unit.. especially for those people who insist on a clean factory appearance. If I had a Bimmer or lexus I'd love a clean sweep... add a nice amp... and some CDT's... I just don't consider my Legacy that "upscale"
