Front end noise during slow turns

A few months back my mechanic replaced both my front ball joints and top hats to fix a clunk from the front end along with doing an alignment. After this I noticed a binding/groaning noise from the front passenger side at slow speeds when making tight turns. Based on feedback on the forum I flushed my power steering fluid, but this had no impact. The power steering has been consistent and I haven't seen any leaking fluid. Any ideas on what i should check next?

How are your tie rods?  Depending on how low your car is you can check on the ground.  they should not twist easily

Sounds like Hub noise to me.

I had to replace both front CV lately as well. Tried to rebuild re grease and one was pooched. So I punted them to raxels.

Thanks for the inputs. Both CV axles have been replaced in the last 30k miles, so I hope it is not the issue. I will see if there is any play in the steering which might indicate a bad tie rod.

I'd say wheel bearings or tie rods, but when you say it's making binding noises at low speeds around tight turns, maybe old crunchy bushings?  Check everything rubber, if it's not a clunk then most likely nothing is loose, just a groaning from something old and hard.  I always forget how old these cars ate starting to get.  I always viewed my Legacy as a nice newish car, but it's 18 years old at this point, damn.

But if the hubs have never been replaced its a good time to replace.
