ConnertheCat
Does anyone happen to know the part number for the OEM Navigation Trim piece that goes above the main radio unit? I'm thinking of replacing my [hilariously old] stock unit with an aftermarket CarPlay unit and may need to drill into it a bit and don't want to do it on my original. … also, does anyone happen to know how much of a fit my car will throw if I just disconnect the Nav and pull it out? Errors on the dash, etc. I don't want the thing to light up like a Christmas tree because I pulled it out. Here's a shot of what I'm trying to do if anyone is curious. Plan is to put this right where the existing Nav is and then I'm going to run the power cable and Aux audio down the side of the trim on the inside and out through the center stack to the inputs in the arm rest when it's done so that will all be hidden (unit does wireless CarPlay, but I still may run a USB-C cable so I can hardwire in if I want):

ConnertheCat
Also in this thread may be able to find the piece. https://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/subaru-oem-parts-catalog-online-exploded-views-opposed-forces-130411.html That was a godsend! I had something similar to this, just without part numbers. For anyone in the future looking for the part number, it's 66060AG07B.
ConnertheCat
I've gone ahead and installed the new screen for CarPlay. I think it looks pretty good - it appears to be stock! I think I'm going to try to source a broken NAV so I can take the buttons from it and use it to fill in the gap to make it appear stock as well. It's ever so slightly crooked at the moment - I'll be fixing that when I get the correct USB-C extension cable and have to take it apart to re-route that. I have the cables routing from the nav cubby behind the radio down through the shifter and under the center console into a hole I drilled there and into the aux/power in there. Here's an IMGUR link showing the bracket and final install. I think it turned out pretty well! https://imgur.com/a/1d7Gjew
Brunzo
You can look for jdm panasonic strada bezel. It has bigger screen hole with no hole at the bottom.
ConnertheCat
You can look for jdm panasonic strada bezel. It has bigger screen hole with no hole at the bottom. I'm actually looking for a broken Nav screen to steal the buttons from; trying to keep it looking as OEM as possible.
Rusty9
I'm doing the same but removing the stock navi, replacing it with the regular cubby, and 1din brackets to mount gauges in there instead. Found an EDM LHD 2 din bezel for where the radio goes to put a combo radio/nav screen there. the JDM bezel is angled for RHD so it leaves a small gap. Also the climate control buttons are on the "correct" side. Got it off ebay from a seller named "subarudin" from russia! (before they invaded ukraine!)
