  1. I've had the Borla cat back on the leggy for like 10 years, yeah it's 2.5" but c'mon. It's quiet and good up to like 450hp... the 3" invidia q300 is loud af on my sti
  2. Yeah that's what I was thinking...just post the pics and list the good, and what still needs done. It's drivable and all, everything still needing work is mainly interior and cosmetic/wish list parts. Was going for oem+ build
  3. Is there a proper place to post about gauging interest in selling my car? I just don't have the time anymore to work on it, and quite frankly could use the money...and garage space.
  4. I doubt you'll find the bellhousing as it's been discontinued for quite some time. Sure there's a dealership somewhere that has one under a mountain of crap they've forgotten about... I've got a rebuilt unit that's been sitting around in my garage for quite some time. If those palm trees are in florida, you could come get it for a reasonable offer. https://imgur.com/a/0q7R7 Pretty sure most all sti 6speeds will fit, just check final drive to match. Only difference is no DCCD and slightly different gear ratios.
  5. for sure head studs on an RA block with D25(WRX/LGT) heads. it's raising the compression ratio with that combo regardless of turbo choice. cheap insurance any way you look at it.
  6. It's a good color, almost bought one when I was looking, but it wasn't a GT. And the spec.b that popped up only came in BSM for my year. I mean if you really hate it, but love the car, you could get it wrapped. But full color change wraps are quite a bit extra for doing the door jambs and other noticeable crevices. And you'll have to have it removed and re-done every 5-7 years depending on sun exposure. I'd say keep it if the paint is in good shape.
  7. on the topic of caliper slide pins, don't forget to clean the cavity that they go into! I use a brass bottle brush on a drill to break up the rust and old grease then hose it out with brake cleaner. The rubber caps/boots are there to keep water out and the greeeeeze in, so it's worth it to get new ones every 10 years or so.
  8. oh for sure if you've got the means to produce It's finally below 80 in FL now so I can begin working on the shitbox again!
  9. That's a great idea. I'll have to go to the junkyard and find a car that already has a flap/door and cut the legacy tray to match it
  10. I bought an EDM radio (GX-204LE) from Allegro (Polish site) to go with my euro console. I had an EDM double din radio panel from some russian guy on ebay YEARS ago and the EDM radio from Poland came with the HVAC controls to swap over. (EDM radios have separate circuit boards for radio/hvac as opposed to the USDM which has them as one board) User 08Spec_B had a write up on what you need.
  11. I doubt it, just put a new RA shortblock in my '08 with rebuilt D25 heads. Slightly higher compression ratio, but other than that, everything else bolted right back together.
  12. I dislike the piano black trim in the new STI since it's impossible to keep clean! It shows everything. I keep a microfiber cloth in the door pocket to wipe it every day I drive it. I can't imagine having it around the radio that you touch all the time lol.
  13. If you don't want to do some mystical hokey-pokey dance with the key and headlights and odometer...any cheap bluetooth obd2 reader (elm 327) and the free Torque app can scan and reset codes along with displaying most of the available basic obd2 monitoring stuff from the ecu.
  14. Really wish we'd get the cool trim levels here. "Flares" look like generic stick on trimcap or Jewelite we use for channel letter signs Any interior shots?
  15. https://www.subarupartsdeal.com/parts-list/2008-subaru-legacy/heater_air_conditioner/heater_system.html?filter=(1%3DS%3B2%3D255%3B4%3D6MT%3B5%3D25GTB)&diagram=02 Seems like it went up a bit from last year...but its still a good value if you need to replace all the other stuff. 72110AG07A or 72110AG07B depending on production date.
  16. For what it's worth you can get the entire HVAC unit with all the actuators, heater core, a/c evap, etc for cheaper than the 3 actuators separately. But you know the old saying, they start with the heater core on the assembly line and build the car around it.
  17. Been dreading doing this as I have the same issue. (un)Fortunately, my dash is all cracked from sitting in the garage so it's gotta come out anyway now.
  18. Well to be fair i dont know if hes in the States or a state that has emissions testing.
  19. yes it's from the TGV delete. the ecu is trying to move the valves and it can't since they aint there. the tuner should be able to remove the code.
  20. SubOperator has some good write ups on what you need. or use the jdm kit if you don't mind the slight panel gap. this gist is the USDM radio has the HVAC controls all on one board while JDM and EDM have separate boards for both.
  21. Assuming this only fits JDM bumpers? I know some JDM grills will "fit" in 07-09 USDM bumper but not quite right.
  22. Looking for a cubby assembly with bezel and vents (complete) for 07-09 Legacy.
  23. I understand. If you do wind up parting out or going another direction with the car, just keep me in mind for that gauge
  24. Need that VBG. How are the screens? Mine died a few years ago. No luck contacting Losee, other than his linked in for Dover Flexo Electronics.
  25. I've been seeing a few (GX-204LE) pop up on Alegro.pl which appears to be a Polish ebay/marketplace. Luckily I have a Polish friend who may be able to purchase there and ship to US. Some sellers only ship domestic, so best to ask first if they ship international.
