CC Legacy Posted February 3, 2022 Share Posted February 3, 2022 Hi, can someone tell me what type of coolant to use to top off the coolant? Owners manual just says Subaru Super Coolant, it is green that's in the reservoir bottle. Is it long life, 5 year/50,000 mile or what? What brands do people use since I don't want to drive 30 miles to my dealership to buy a gallon when the local parts store is a mile. The car is a 2021 Legacy non-turbo model 4 cylinder. But to answer your question I would use the Super Coolant Pre Mixed (Part Number: SOA868V9270). Here is the note in the service manual (2020 Legacy 2.5 non-turbo) Note: The SUBARU Super Coolant contains anti-freeze and anti-rust agents, and is especially made for Subaru engines with an aluminum cylinder block.
