Liqui-Moly for 5MT

Doing a clutch job next week and am looking to use Liqui-Moly High Performance 75w-90 gear oil for trans and diffs. I've used Liqui-moly products on my previous vehicles (Audi S4, Focus RS, etc.) and would like to continue the trend. Have been using High Tech for OBXT oil changes and have zero complaints.

 

Looking for those who have used Liqui-moly for trans and diffs and can share any feedback. Did your synchros play nice?

I used it in my 5mt for about 6 months, it shifted fine and smooth, but was noisier.

Motul 300 is just as smooth and quieter for now.

 

Granted, I have more NVH than most people with solid bushings and such for the tranny.

Good deal. My local shop prefers Motul so I may go that route anyway. It's just as good.

 

Did you also use Motul 300 for the rear diff?

Yes, I have Motul 300 in the rear diff as well.

Prefer Redline in both diffs as well as in the trans. Have used it for years across multiple car brands as well. Very smooth.

 

Liqi-Moly sometimes is hard to source as well. In fact I have never seen Diff or Trans fluid even discussed just the engine oil.
