  4. SOLD LINK TO PHOTOS DISCLAIMER: BIKE RACK NOT INCLUDED Very rare FAMILY OWNED 2009 Subaru Outback XT Limited 5spd for sale. We purchased the Outback from a family member last year (who also purchased from another family member) as a replacement for another Subaru that was totaled in a hit and run. An extensive amount of maintenance was put into this vehicle to make it reliable for another 100,000+ miles. I wanted this to be a fun, problem free vehicle for us to use, but it turns out, we put very few miles on it as it’s now sits a third vehicle. The Outback gets driven once or twice a week for a quick store run. I recently got a truck that can do most of what the Outback was for. In short, this is an opportunity to get a very rare Subaru configuration, with thousands of dollars applied towards all major and minor maintenance items. Gray exterior (fair condition) Black leather interior (good to fair condition; driver seat torn) Panoramic Moonroof Harman Kardon Audio w/ OEM Subwoofer Automatic Climate Control Attachment includes AutoCheck information, as well as the recent maintenance records I have, as well as all parts purchased. 5. Looking for help with a lowering question... I have almost all the components I need to get my OBXT to about legacy GT height (Bilstein HDs, Spec.B front springs, OBXT rear springs for now.. might go King... TBD, and of course LGT front and rear control arms). Brakes will be upgraded as well. I went down the rabbit hole with considerations to swap the rear trailing arms to JDM Spec.B. I've been through a couple dozen thread and hundreds, if not thousands of posts regarding lowering. I've only found few mentions of Spec.B rear trailing arms. My specific question about the rear trailing arms, and trailing arm brackets is regarding the few comments of changing the wheel's position in the wheel well - aka, more centered. I'd also end up getting Whiteline bushings, new OEM hubs and the required longer hub mounting bolts, and ensuring I have the correct swaybar end link brackets. My question: Is this notion of "wheel centering in the wheel well" achieved with the brackets alone, Spec.B trailing arms alone, or brackets plus Spec.B trailing arms?
  6. Working on a Spec.B suspension swap and came across this page. Glad to hear the top hats interchange. Curious to know if the front coil spring insulator (spring seat) is interchangeable between model years (MY)? MY2006 part number is 20323AG000 ($13) MY2007 part number is 20323AG00B ($56). EDIT Also going to ask about the interchangeability for front springs between model years... MY2006 part number is 20330AG720 ($74) MY2007 part number is 20330AG14A ($42)
  7. I sent you a Tapatalk PM, since it looks like you don’t accept PMs through the forum.
  8. Another revival. Rhitter - I was going to post on your build thread but felt my questions might receive better optics on this general thread. So here we go... I see mentioning of Bilstein HDs... Are you all referring to the Bilstein US B6 Struts and Shocks; or units imported from Japan? Rhitter - for your front suspension, did you essentially build a Legacy GT Spec.b front strut assembly? (yes I know you have Spec.b wagon springs; awesome btw). Rhitter again - for your rear shocks, did you use the same Bilstein HD (B6?) with a LGT or Spec.b top hat with the spacer? If Spec.b, could you have used the a LGT top hat and achieved the same result? If Spec.b again, did you use all the components as if you were building a rear Spec.b assembly, except using LGT wagon springs? I'm looking to use Bilstein US B6 all around, LGT wagon springs front and rear, and am trying to determine if those springs will work with a Spec.b top hat (Bilstein US requires a Spec.b top hat for installation). Thanks for any clarity that can be provided.
  9. I see you used Koni inserts + LGT wagon springs up front, but am curious if you used Koni or OEM LGT shocks for the rear, with your Outback springs? Your ride height and stance is exactly what I want for where I live, including the wheel and tire setup as well. Nailed it. Any information you can provide would be tremendously helpful. I was full steam ahead on getting Bilstein B6 front and rear with springs being unknown until I came across the massive Koni insert thread. Now I have no clue what to do LOL.
  10. Very helpful thank you. I’ll get the lines from Mach V. One of the techs is a longtime friend who handles all my maintenance and aftermarket work I don’t do. He’ll be doing the clutch and oil pan replacement on my OBXT while up do the brake upgrade. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  11. I'll give Primitive a call to see if they have anything. Something I'm now trying to figure out is if the USDM (aftermarket) Bilstein B6 have a similar higher spring perch as do the JDM Bilsteins... Bilstein's catalog calls out the need for Spec.b hats for both front and rear. Anyone know?
  12. Reviving this dead thread as I'm on a mission for getting a stock-ish height Legacy setup into my OBXT. I've read many times in this thread "Bilsteins" have a higher spring perch and would like to know if this also applies to the B6 or B8 Bilstein struts available in the US (looks like Bilstein uses the same P/N for Legacy GT and Spec.b fitments; and also calls out the usage of needing Spec.b spring perches).
  13. Good deal. My local shop prefers Motul so I may go that route anyway. It's just as good. Did you also use Motul 300 for the rear diff?
  14. I'll save that P/N. Still need to figure out if any lines need to be changed or will existing mate to new calipers no problem.
  15. Doing a clutch job next week and am looking to use Liqui-Moly High Performance 75w-90 gear oil for trans and diffs. I've used Liqui-moly products on my previous vehicles (Audi S4, Focus RS, etc.) and would like to continue the trend. Have been using High Tech for OBXT oil changes and have zero complaints. Looking for those who have used Liqui-moly for trans and diffs and can share any feedback. Did your synchros play nice?
  16. I've picked up LGT calipers, rotors and pads for my '09 OBXT. Regarding lines, what do I need to do the swap. Anything? Or are lines just recommended...?
  17. The V1 and V2 threads have been tremendously helpful that I very much love my n'used OBXT - but it needs some lowering. I'm looking for stock LGT height that will hold up some weight when I plan to actually use the Outback. No towing, just hauling stuff - so definitely don't want a setup in the rear that will sag. With that said, I'd like to go with Bilstein B6 struts/shocks for front and rear. Looks like I'll need the Spec.b hats for fitment and adjustable control arms to dial everything in. Looking for spring and spacer recommendations. Photos would also be a bonus! Again, looking for close to stock LGT height as I'd like to run an 18" with meaty tires.
  18. Any luck with a US distributor of the JDM double-din trim and JDM HVAC controls? Wanted to ask before I send fun coupons to avojdm... Also, has anyone used these harnesses with a factory H/K system? I've read it's been recommended to add RCAs to the speaker outputs for low-level outputs to the factory amp... Any expertise or experience would be appreciated.
  19. Ok that is understandable. I've thought about my goals with this OBXT and I think I've decided to keep it about Stage 1. I'll replace the turbo (plus down+up pipe) if the turbo ever craps out. Planning on doing all the regular maintenance I can (TB+WP, Valve cover gaskets and plugs, clutch, engine + trans mounts and some rad hoses). Everything seems rather straight forward decision wise but the clutch has been the thing keeping me on the fence which way to go. Your responses have been very helpful, so thank you, again
